IS YOUR BUSINESS MODEL DEPRESSED?

When organizations hit difficult periods, most leaders move through predictable stages.
I've seen it hundreds of times.
First comes denial.
"Everything is fine."
Then comes anger.
"The market is broken."
Then bargaining.
"If we just survive this quarter..."
Eventually many organizations reach depression.
They stop making decisions.
They stop investing.
They stop taking calculated risks.
Progress stalls.
Momentum disappears.
The organizations that ultimately win reach a different stage:
Acceptance.
They acknowledge reality.
They stop blaming external factors.
They begin solving problems.
They take ownership.
Every business faces challenges.
Economic conditions change.
Customer expectations evolve.
Competitors emerge.
The question isn't whether problems exist.
The question is whether you're confronting them honestly.
The most successful leaders I know are not the ones who avoid problems.
They're the ones who face them first.
